Public records notarized or certified in the United States that are submitted to another country usually require authentication before they are accepted. This is done by validating the authenticity of the signature on the document, the authority of the person signing the document, and, where applicable, the identity of the seal or stamp on the document.
The document can be written in any language, but the notarial certificate (such as a jurat, acknowledgment, or attested copy certificate) or certified copy declaration must be written in English.
